A small but happy band of managers gathered at Knebworth on Thursday 23rd September for the regions Autumn meeting.
We were indulged by a host of industry speakers which included our own GCMA CEO – Tom Brooke, Matthew Orwin from Promote Golf, Steve Salter, Horse Box Hospitality, David Cowap Poster Design, and Ben O’Connor from Cawston Press, there was even time for a very productive open floor discussion about the impact of the pandemic in the golf industry and the effect this had had on Clubs and the staff.
Following a light lunch and some sample drinks supplied by Cawston Press twelve brave golfers set off to play for the Autumn Salver.
The course was in excellent condition and we thank Stuart the Course Manager and his team for its set up and presentation.
Following golf we assembled for a pre-dinner wine tasting supplied by Paramount Wines and were then royally treated to a superb dinner which was very well received.
