On a cold spring day at Brickendon Grange GC, Martin Bennet wins the Past Captain's Trophy, by just one point from Frank Clapp. The golf course was in excellent condition, with slick firm greens that we usually don't experience until the summer, but the wind was strong and very cold, with the occasional flurry of snow to make it interesting.
Martin, who was GM at Brickendon Grange before he retired, played very steadily whilst others struggled. The golf was followed by a superb lunch in the Oak Room, a private dining room in the clubhouse.
